my mom is obsessed with blue and white. all the chinaware we have is just friggen blue or white.

I've never seen Chinaware that's not been blue and white. It's always blue and white. I'd got serving bowls from Vietnam - white in color, with a blue circle at the brim of the cup. Plates - white with blue patterns. :-)
