Capturing shapes and texture are inherently difficult. Nice attempt, though.

Composing the closeup shot around the "red-orange" stone would have given better results providing a nice focal point.

i totally agree with faisal. i'll also suggest that you collect all your good stuff n put it on a proper photoblog, with copyrights. all you need is a good presentation.
